GCJ 2017 Jury

The Global Junior Challenge is an international competition that rewards the use of new technology for 21st century education and social inclusion. Promoted by the City of Rome, the GJC is organized every two years by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale. The GJC provides a unique opportunity to reflect on the educational challenges of the 21st century and the role of technology in social integration, development and the elimination of global poverty. An international jury will select the finalist projects and the winners.

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale works with school and youth to drive change and innovation through teachers and illuminated administrators who help to design a sustainable future for future generations. Thus, the jury of the GJC includes teachers and administrators from Italian and international schools. The jury will evaluate ca. 30 projects in the week of September 18-23, 2017.

Each jury member will receive a file with a list of ID numbers for the projects on the on-line competition platform that must be evaluated (www.gjc.it/cerca-progetti). Each jury member will assign a score of 1-10 for each evaluation element. The total score will determine the final placement. The jury members – seven in this edition – are matched to categories based on their competences and CV.

The regulations, judgement criteria and all further information is available on the competition website: www.gjc.it/it/regolamento.

The jury members will be presented at the awards ceremony that will be held on October 27, 2017 in the prestigious Aula Giulio Cesare of the Rome Campidoglio.

Teachers and administrators who would like to judge should send a brief CV (max. 5 lines) by July 31, 2017, a photo, and a short motivation letter (3 lines of text or a one-minute video) to: r.delia@mondodigitale.org

By sending us material, the candidates express their consent to the treatment of their personal data as per Italian Bill N. 196/2003 (“Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali”). Moreover, they consent to the use, as regulated by law, in any form or fashion, in Italy and abroad, without any time or space limitations, and with no remuneration, of their images and digital material, even via reductions or adaptations, to promote the Global Junior Challenge Competition.
