The winner of the “Best Innovating Teacher” at the seventh edition of the Global Junior Challenge is also at Flip-Me [1], the "first meeting of didactic practices that work in the classroom.”

A professor of physics at IIS Kennedy in Monsalice (Padua), Alfonso D'Ambrosio uses educational robotics and smartphone sensors to promote learning by doing in the classroom.

A winner of various school competitions and author of articles in various interational magazines, at "Present Imperfect, Flipped Future,” D'Ambrosio will host a workshop entitled "Pocket Lab: how much science in a smartphone?"

The meeting, organised by Flipnet [2] in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, will be held in Rome on October 7 at the Centro Congressi Auditorium del Massimo [3], a high tech, spacious and elegant congress centre that can seat 874 participants.

"Present Imperfect, Flipped Future” will unveil a school presenting new educational scenarios made possible by digital tools and based on inclusive and creative, flipped and cooperative learning.

The conference includes 12 plenary speeches (25 min. each) from 9:30 – 5:00 pm and 12 workshops followed by question time (25 min. each) .

Each workshop will take place immediately after the plenary session. Speakers will move into 100-seat rooms with interested teachers.

The educational project is recognized by MIUR (Directive 90/2003) and the ticket invoice can be used for reimbursement (Carta del docente/bonus a.s.2016-2017 - see MIUR FAQ [4]).
