Finalist project of the Global Junior Challenge 2012 for the category "until to age 15." The objective, pursued by a florentine school from Le Piagge district, in collaboration with researchers, educators and media educators, was to explore the use of new media for educational purposes . The activities involving children , including many of the second generation, in the creation of a digital storytelling laboratory, realized with smartphones and social networks: the participants were asked to describe with photos and videos their lives in the neighborhood, to create a collective facebook account and to take for the media contents.

From all this, were born real-life stories , but also fantasy stories written using the digital communication platforms: sms and Facebook Mobile service. The stories have taken shape in a collective way and in real time, essentially by passing from one to another a mobile phone.
