It's given opportunity to kids from different countries to re-create spring through drawings, poems, dances and stories. The beauty of spring is seen throught chidren's eyes.

Summary: 

This project aims at extending children's knowledge about traditions and customs through spring in different countries. Children showed their  impressions by drawings, stories, songs and poems. Pictures were made from the working process. By presentations kids were familiarize with the native traditions of the  partner countries. The children drew togheter - the drawings were started by one school/kindergarten and finnished by other. Ideas for spring decoration were exchanged. Pictures with the kids in the open air were exchanged. In the partner countries children grow flowers. They also exchanged drawing made in MS Paint. This project gave the chance the children under school age and elementary school age to learn about new cultures, to express emotions and ideas.

- Gather information about customs and traditions in spring

What does it try to achieve and how: 

Using ICT we gave opportunity to children to know more about the different traditions and cultures. To exchange drawings and pictures. To co-operate with their new friends using ICT. To learn more about Europe and the EU. To have possitive attitude towards the cultural diversity.

Creativity, inovations, culture, education.

Please explain what is unique or special in your project: 

This project is meant for children in elementary school age and under school age. It was given the chance to these kids to learn more and to use ICT.

Describe the results of your project as per today: 

The kids learned about new cultures; learnt how to express emotions and ideas. They found new ways of using ICT.

How does it fulfill the users’ needs: 

The project satisfy their needs to develop their knowledge and imagination, to stimulate their desire to learn more about the world around them, to acquire new skills, to establish new friendships, to develop their sense for beauty.

How many users interact with your project per month and what are the preferred forms of interaction: 

Kids from 26 countries participated (about 50 kids). They exchange pictures, drawing, presentations.

How has it improved the quality of educational and/or training services: 

The kids actively drew. Their creativity and imagination was stimulated and developed. Their concept for the world was enriched.

How does it promote the use of ICT for the educational and cultural development by professionals, children and youth: 

Their knowledge for MS Paint was enriched. They watched presentations.

We worked together and the kids were very enthusiastic about this project.

13. Background information
Background: 

With the co-founder (a kindergarten from Italy) we first worked on a Christmas project, which was a success, and then we decide to continue our partnership with another project. But in this project we accentuate on team-work.

To continue our partnership on other projects which stimulate children's development at age from 5 to 10.
