Printer-friendly version Send to friend A Soul Map of My City is project created by 3 schools from 3 different countries in which we exchanged information about our countries and cities, experiences of living in our cities through the eyes of teenagers and also we tried to explore life in our cities through different times: the city of our ancestors, the city of our grandparents and city of our parents.

The materials of the project are organized on the following main topics:
The presentation is like a journey through times and places in search for the soul of the city and, what is important, everything is seen through the eyes of children and teenagers.
Idea for the project was born in e-mail communication of project coordinators from Croatia, Romania and Turkey. Once we agreed on the main theme, detail plan of work was suggested by collegues from Romania. Project results are presented in form of web site: www.proiecte49.ro
Project is applying to the students and teachers involved, but also to everyone else who wants to use project in education process.

Main aims of the project:
What does it try to achieve and how:
We tried to acquaint students of our schools with other cultures and traditions, in order to expand knowledge and understanding of different cultures by sharing information about our countries, places of living, schools and everyday living.

Developing of intercultural understanding and tolerance.

The whole project was realized and presented through the eyes of teenagers.

We succeeded in realization of main aims of the project.

This was our first international project so we learned a lot about planning and managing that kind of projects.

While working on project teachers and students involved used ICT tools for communication, coordination, gathering and exchanging materials.
