THERE HAVE BEEN CULTURAL, HISTORIC , ECONOMIC AND TOURISTIC RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN MANY COUNTRIES OF EUROPE ALONG THE CENTURIES. MUSIC, DANCE, GARMENTS, FOOD AND PAST EVENTS CONTRIBUTE TO SHAPING THE CULTURAL IDENTITY OF A NATION, WHICH IS THUS BETTER UNDERSTOOD AND ACCEPTED BY THE OTHER MEMBERS OF A UNION, IN THIS WAY EXEMPLIFYING THE CONCEPT OF UNITY IN DIVERSITY.
